Embracing a new season

Embracing a new season

On some Sundays, we give space for families to share what God is doing in their lives and encourage our church family. Last Sunday, one of these families shared about embracing a new season and experiencing God’s love in the midst of change. Read their testimony below:

“For the first 10 years of our marriage, we watched God work in seemingly big, mountain-moving ways that were such obvious miracles- surviving a long-distance marriage because of military deployment, getting to move closer to family, welcoming career changes, and much prayed for jobs, longed for pregnancies and a first home purchase and a fought for adoption brought to fruition. In these past two years, God has been calling us to Him a lot more quietly. Growing us into a deeper intentionality with the mundane day-in and day-out of parenting and marriage. No less important than the first big ten years of our family, this is a season of honing in on raising little disciples. It’s a nitty-gritty, not glamorous or “big,” but this is such a sweet season of opportunity to slow down and pay attention to God’s hand on us and our kids as He lovingly shepherds us all to Him through the tantrums, endless dirty dishes, and laundry, diapers, and sleeplessness.”
